The Old Cartshed | Yr Hen Gwt Cart Reviews

We stayed in the Old Cart Shed as a couple for 5 nights and we would have happily stayed for many more. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but you were given privacy and freedom to come and go very easily. We found the cottage to be really well designed and loved views from all angles with the surrounding windows. Even with guests next door for a short while we felt private even in the outdoor space. The beds were comfy, although didnt use the second bedroom as this was just for storing our things and changing. The hot tub is great after a hike in Snowdonia, big enough for 4 people comfortably, with great views of the scenery. The location is great if you want to escape to quiet life thats also close enough to shops and bigger towns. 15 minutes away from Abergele, 30 minutes from Betwsycoed. It is on a farm with cattle and sheep, and we met the two chickens one day who were very friendly! If we were to be picky something like air conditioning or being able to easily control the heating would be great as we found the rooms to be warm and couldnt figure out the thermostats. It was our first time and Wales and we definitely plan to come back Im sure our next stay will also be here! Id recommend to anyone wanting a trip to this area.

Wow, what an amazing holiday me and my family had. The accommodation was just like the photos but better, we visited with a 3 year old and 6 year old and they had so much fun. We made the most of the sun and explored a different part of north wales every day, its a great location for this. The hot tub was an added bonus and the river on the farm was a massive hit with the kids, as was the chickens and the farm dog. Would 100 recommend and we will be back.
Humaira
We had a perfect stay in this delightful property, surrounded by stunning scenery and overlooking a beautiful river. Eirian was so welcoming and approachable, showing us around on arrival and providing a high chair for our baby. The property has been so lovingly put together, with every bit of decor carefully thought out. From ornaments to throws and pillows, everything felt high quality. You can really tell that the owners have invested massive time and effort, and the end result is something to be truly proud of. I wouldnt change a thing about it. It was a bonus that the surroundings are perfect too. Beautiful green views from the windows, tonnes of natural light, and chickens, sheep and cows all close by. You can open the kitchen window and hear the river. What more could you want? I could have stayed here for so much longer. I would be delighted to come again as there were plenty of things we didnt get to explore yet. Highlights were Manorafon farm park in Abergele great for the kids thank you Eirian for the rec, Betwsycoed and the woodland trail, and Llandudnos west shore beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My friends and I stayed here for a couple of nights and we absolutely loved it! The house is gorgeous, perfect size for a few friends. Eirian was very welcoming when we arrived and couldnt be nicer. We had a lovely time, nice and peaceful which is what we were after. Hot tub was fab and the views from it made it even better. Wed definitely stay again!
Ginette
Great cottage in a good location to explore both the coast and Snowdonia. Friendly welcome and cottage well appointed. Lovely furniture, great shower, comfy beds, good views and hot tub was fantastic. Would love to return and would recommend.
We had a lovely time away in this gorgeous secluded home. Everything you need is a short drive away but you're in the middle of the country side. The owners were very attentive and welcoming and I would highly recommend this stay!
